Making Local Food Work Website Launched

The brand new website for The Big Lottery funded initiative 'Making Local Food Work' - community enterprise connecting land and people through food, has been launched.

BOCC has been working with the Plunkett Foundation who will be managing the initiative for the next five years, to get the site launched on time for the 1st July 2008.

The website, powered by YouDu CMS, includes a number of powerful Web 2.0 features that allows all users to come together as an online community:

• RSS news feed subscriptions
• Secure extranet site for Making Local Food Work Partners
• Social networking bookmarks
• Photo slideshow to highlight projects and events
• Discussion forums for sharing information across projects
• Searchable documents area for advice, support and guidance
• eNewsletter / email alerts sign-up

The new website was visually designed by BOCC's design team based on existing brand guidelines and styles. New templates were developed for the website and extranet and integrated with the CMS.

Web development, visual / interface design and web server hosting all provided by BOCC.
