Plunkett Foundation Launch New Website Powered by YouDu CMS

BOCC has successfully launched the new website for the Plunkett Foundation, which is powered by YouDu CMS.

The Plunkett Foundation promotes and supports co-operatives and social enterprises in rural communities worldwide.  By providing support, networks and knowledge to help rural communities to be aware of, understand and implement practical solutions to the challenges that they are facing.

The requirements for the new site included:

  • A visual redesign based on new branding styleguides;
  • Provision of a content management system;
  • Integration of existing online tools and features;
  • Support and maintenance services and;
  • Dedicated web server hosting.

The new website provides a portal that now facilitates several legacy websites and existing online tools and utilities, as well as several project-based microsites. BOCC initially undertook an initial review of the existing legacy websites and online tools that were to be incorporated into the new website.

BOCC’s general approach was to integrate the features as custom modules within the YouDu CMS. The features are available to users at the front-end of the site, such as the Village Shops Directory and Plunkett staff have the ability to maintain the actual data through an administration module within the CMS.

Other tools, such as the ViRSA and Plunkett News Sections and the eNewsletter were accommodated by the existing standard functionality available within the YouDu CMS.

The new website was developed on time and within budget.
